Parachutes | Flies For Fly Fishing |

"Parachutes" patterns are the original category of Dry Flies, which are named by a special fly tying style where hackles of flies are tied from a rooster, hen or CDC around the wings, which can be tied from antron, feather, fur or polycelon. Some shy types of fish - such as the grayling - take much better these types of flies that naturally sit on the water surface and they are so much more authentic for the fish than flies with hackles tied around the hook shank!

That's why it's very important to have these versions of dry flies in your fly box! Parachutes can imitate adults of May flies, Caddis, Midges, but also Terrestrial insects and other groups of insects.
