CzechNymph Mono is a highly supple tapered leader made from elastic monofilament, designed primarily for traditional fly fishing techniques. Its braided construction gives it virtually no memory and helps transfer energy efficiently from the fly line to the tippet. The result is accurate casting and natural fly presentation.

The elastic monofilament material also helps absorb sudden runs and surges from fish, which is particularly useful when playing a fish.

Light or Medium?

• Light, AFTMA #2-4: The finer option for lightweight fly fishing setups and situations where delicate fly presentation is a priority.
• Medium, AFTMA #4-6: Leaders for heavier trout fishing and targeting larger fish in bigger rivers and lakes.

Which length should you choose?

• 70 and 90 cm: Lengths for precise wet fly fishing.
• 120 cm: Suitable for wet fly fishing on larger rivers or for lake fishing.
• 150 and 180 cm: For longer dry fly leader setups. The extra length allows the dry fly to drift more naturally.

The leader features a loop for quick and easy attachment to your fly line. At the other end, a tippet ring allows you to attach your tippet with ease.

As the tippet gradually shortens, there is no need to cut back the braided leader itself, allowing you to use it repeatedly.
