Very often distinctly colored Egg flies - originally egg/roe imitations used mainly for targeted steelhead fishing in British Columbia - are in our conditions very effective and simple patterns for fishing trout, grayling, but of course chub, carp and other coarse fish.

Nowadays, these patterns celebrate great success both when nymphing on the river and when fishing on still waters with the static "BUNG" method, especially in the period when the trout are more and more apathetic and do not respond to actively led lures!
