Wet Partridge Orange Tag Rusty Brown B/L

The large wet fly in the March Brown style is an excellent pattern for year-round wet fishing for trout and chub when these fish are actively feeding in the water column, e.g. on dead insects (mayflies and caddisflies) carried by the water current.

The basis of this distinctive and relatively large wet fly is a brown-rusty body ribbed with silver wire, a contrasting orange tip and a mottled brown wing tied to blend with the body. A great fly for hungry river fish, but of course it can also be used as a great wet fly when fishing on still waters!
