Tungsten Jig PTN Violet CDC & Silver Head

A naturally tuned tungsten jig pattern, which is not primarily used for river fishing, but rather for static fishing for trout and other fish in still waters using the dry-dropper method (BUNG) under a strike indicator (big foam or indicator dry fly).

The basis of this fly is a thin body made of pheasant tail feather ringed with silver wire, movable CDC hackles, a thorax made of violet Spectra Dubbing and a silver tungsten head. Thanks to this appearance, this jig is also excellent for fishing for more cautious trout and grayling, e.g. on clear still waters.

These tungsten flies are excellent for static fishing mainly because they tighten the leader, there is no slack under the indicator and the fish's strike can be immediately detected by moving or sinking the indicator.
