Alta River
It is the size of the Atlantic salmon which has made Alta a world famous river. There is probably no place on earth a fly fisherman has a better chance of catching a 40 pound salmon. All fishing in this film takes place in Sautso, which is located in a spectacular canyon at the very top of the river. In the mid 1990´s hardly any fish where caught in Sautso, but good management and catch and release fishing have brought this river section back to greatness.
Idsjöströmmen
Lars Åke Olsson is passionate about fly fishing and fly fishing history. Splitcane rods are handled with great skill and classic fly patterns are used with new techniques. This is also a story about an abused river, which has returned to life with the help of locals and dedicated fly fishermen.
Rynda River
Two old friends canoe and fly fish the river Rynda in Russia. They experience extreme weather changes as early spring turns into summer. You will see rising trout, unique dryfly scenes and experience a truly magic mood in this film. Both the environment and the fishing are unspoilt and protected by strict rules. Hopefully this area will remain as fantastic as it is today, forever!
