What information do we collect, and how do we use this information?
The nature of the information we collect from you depends on the type of activity you are taking part in on the FFP site. These activities can be generally divided into three areas: registration, ordering in the shop, and participating in the FFP network community.
When registering with the FFP website, you will be asked to enter personal information such as name and gender, and contact information such as email address, mailing address, and telephone. We use this information as part of the login process and to collect site statistics. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. If you decide to be included in our mailing list, you will receive emails that may include FFP news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. You may visit our site anonymously; however, there are many features that can only be accessed by registered users, so we encourage you to register.
When participating in the FFP network community, you will have the chance to interact with fellow fly fishers around the world. You can choose to provide as much or as little information about yourself and your interests (starting with nothing), and you will be given the option to decide how much of this information will be visible to other members of the FFP community. Please be aware, however, that we can not be responsible for any of the information that you decide to provide to other members of the FFP community.
Notwithstanding the above policies, we reserve the right to disclose your personal information to appropriate third parties if we are required to do so by law or we believe that such action is necessary. Such actions are: to comply with legal process such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order; to protect the rights and property of FFP; to investigate reports of fraud or of users sending material using a false e-mail address or users sending harassing, threatening, or abusive messages; to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our web site; during emergencies, such as when we believe someone's physical safety is at risk.
How do we protect your information?
Your personal information is stored on our secure servers, where a variety of security measures are used to prevent access from unauthorized users. Since all financial transactions are done through the PayPal service, none of your financial information is stored at FFP.
All material on this website is the copyright of FFP, with the exception of photographs in member galleries which remain the copyright of the original photographer. No material on this website may be used or copied without the express permission of FFP.
If any of the above information is unclear, or you would like more details, please use the "contact" option on our contact form.
