This original cheburashka shape was developed and introduced to the market by RedBass after extensive testing and adjustments in 2017, bringing the following key innovations to modern spinning fishing:

  • When retrieving slender soft lures (nymphs, micro shads, worm-style baits), the cheburashka acts like a spoon lure, creating strong wobbling action across the entire rig – extremely attractive and highly triggering for predators.
  • The StandUp model almost always lands on its bottom flat and remains standing. In flowing waters, the lure rig can continue working naturally even when stationary on the bottom, meaning strikes can occur even during a “paused” presentation.
  • Thanks to the shape of the bottom surface, it produces fewer snags.
  • The weight has a fish-head shape with a pronounced eye (a 3D eye can be attached to the flat surface), creating a less intrusive and more natural silhouette for fish.
  • The weight is strongly eccentric, meaning the lure does not rotate or twist – suitable for all types of soft baits.

Cheburashka StandUp advantages over classic jig heads:

  • The lure is mounted on a streamer or dropshot hook, which connects to the cheburashka via an internal clip, but the hook is now jointed. This allows much freer, more natural movement – ideal for RedBass micro shads, nymphs, worm shads and other soft baits
  • The angler can freely combine hook size and weight.
  • It allows quick lure changes without damaging the bait (you simply leave it on the hook and attach another pre-rigged one).

Load capacity:

Up to 3 g: 12 - 13 kg
4 g and more: 14 - 15 kg

RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended to use a snap at the end of the line or braid. The weight will not normally slip during fishing, but during aggressive head shaking (e.g. pike, perch or trout), centrifugal force may cause slipping, which significantly reduces the strength of the internal clip.
