HENDS Mayfly Tail is a high-quality Coq de León feather, primarily designed for tying dry fly tails, but it also works perfectly for emergers, wet flies and lighter nymph patterns.

Coq de León is legendary among fly tiers for its unique combination of fineness, natural stiffness and flexibility. The fibres hold their shape beautifully, never look “dead” in the water, and create clean, perfectly proportioned tails. The result is a realistic finish with excellent durability — even after multiple fish.

The dyed versions are ideal when you want to match the hatch, or add a subtle colour detail that can trigger takes when fish are selective.
