The Booby is one of the most effective stillwater flies that is available to the modern fly fisher. It is a very versatile pattern that can be used at all times of the year and at any depth of water. Try using this pattern on the point of your leader with a couple of nymphs on droppers .This method is called the "washing line" and is very effective when fish are feeding near the surface.
