CDC Shuttlecock Olive B/L

A special type of dry fly, which is intended primarily for stillwater fishing of cautious and large trout, which feed exclusively on hatching midges and you probably have no chance of catching them on anything else at the moment! Shuttlecock is an indispensable dry fly for fishing for stillwater salmonids.

The basis of this fly is a thin body made of olive thread ribbed with fine silver wire. A small thorax made of hare dubbing and a CDC wing that holds the entire fly exactly where it is needed = submerged below the water surface. Stillwater trout really love these patterns, so be sure to have them in your box, otherwise you will regret it!
