Compared to round jig heads, this allows the use of heavier weights for longer casts without losing natural presentation. OUR TIP: Worried about your lure slipping off a jig head without a bait keeper? No need to be. High-quality soft baits made from soft material (e.g. RedBASS) slip off only minimally. And if they do, just apply a small drop of superglue between the jig head and the lure. Top-level spinning anglers almost always fish this way.
